Hi, being a newbee, probably an obvious question. Searched for a few days, and only got info of about one year old.
The Question: Is Homeseer working with the Marmitek CM15Pro? I`ve found something on the internet about a beta software, not officially supported by homeseer, about one year old, and referring to the cm15A. Too many variables...
I want Homeseer to use the cm15pro to steer (both X10 and X10 RF) my X10 devices....
desperately waiting,
Eric

Hi Eric,
Homeseer supports the CM15pro, you can download the plugin within homeseer itself (via update).
http://www.homeseer.com/support/cm15a.htm
The best way to test this is to download the trial and find out yourself.

Super! [:)] Thanks for the speedy answer....
Next question: Can anybody tell me (opening pandora's box I'm afraid) if Windows Home Server works with Homeseer?

What do mean exactly with "working with" ? If it is capable of running on that platform? The answer is yes, it will run perfectly on that OS.

I don't think so.
Home server is not build to run applications.

.... that's what I mean. To "do it right", homeseer should run as a service (and that's what I meant with Pandora's box, opinions will differ).
I've seen forumblogs that it runs well as an application, but also the same amount of blogs that counter that.... and that you shouldn't run it as an application in WHS....
Would be a pity if it can not be run as a service, it would mean another box in the house ....?

Homeseer can be run as a service. Therefore it should run OK. But why not just try it and see what happens? You have 30 days to make up your mind.
I have Home Server running on a (hardware) server in VMWare. On that same server there are also 2 other XP VMWare machine running. One for Homeseer and one for Plugwise. This also runs very well. The only thing is that expanding diskspace within Home Server isn't that easy anymore.

I have the setup you want to use running for about 7-8 months now and no problems. HS is running as a application with the CM15pro but can also run as a service.
I have lots of applications running on WHS, you'll be suprised to see what can run on WHS. Just try!
