Linux & SDK

Post by beatboxer05 »

Hallo people,

I have to do some research about Z-wave and I was wondering if you could help me out ?

I need a zigbee adapter which is compatible with linux and also has a sdk. If you know a good one please let me know.

Does the ControlThink CTZUS also work with linux ?
Thanks for your help.

Kind regards.

Don't know if a Linux SDK exists, but a open source working API is found here:
http://svn.linuxmce.org/svn/trunk/src/ZWave/
http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/ZWave_API
This is the list with supported controllers.
http://wiki.linuxmce.org/index.php/Z-Wave
I see no ControlThink interface there though, but enough alternatives.

It's not a standalone one, it belongs to LinuxMCE (open source Plutohome), so you need to seperate it from that, funny enough the developers started it as a standalone app/lib, and later migrated it, if we only could find it ;-)
I have peeked at the source code, and it's not so easy as controlling X10, but it's a better protocol too.
