Would be nice to check the server logs, to see how it affected your server! ehehe

Hi Nik,
Thats the way I know all the links on other pages. I log everything what is going on on my server. I can also see the referrer as show below.
366473 6/21/2007 18:39:50 cache.yritysnet.com 212.50.192.202 /Index.asp
http://www.virtuaalimatka.com/erikoiset.php
This indicates that somebody (cache.yritysnet.com 212.50.192.202) entered
www.bwired.nl from
www.virtuaalimatka.com/erikoiset.php.
If I go there I can see what has been told about me

I also show on the bwired main page the times you visited bwired, so if you browse to me I check your IP nr and search for it in my database. (if you click on it all the records will be displayed)
Btw my server is running smoothly and has no problems, my ADSL upload is sometimes very full!
regards
Pieter

Pieter,
Do you process your IIS logs or some other way?
Robert.

No I have a logging functionality directly in my global.asa I use the Session_OnStart for it. So if a new session is been started by a guest of Bwired a record with all the webserver variables like http_referrer, IPnr etc. are being logged in the database. ASP.NET has similar functions.

I meant, checking the logs, to see the "digg" effect - your site must have near 100% use at some times.
If you want to have some extra nice statistics, you can also consider using google analytics (free).
It shows good reports in a very nice and interactive way. (although best suited for "regular" websites)
It's very simple to use: you just add a couple of lines to your pages.

I'm not sure I understand you the right way? In the HTTP referrer in my log I can see how many people are coming from the "Digg" site to Bwired. I checked my database and 5873 bwired visitors came from
http://digg.com I know Google has nice statistics but I want to do everything myself

My server is running smoothly, it's a Dual Xeon Ultra Scsi machine. My ADLS lines however are sometimes heavy overloaded.
