Daily I backup my server (raid 1 - mirror) to my Nas. I'm not satisfied with the current software that I use (older Norton version).
I want to make an incremental backup of the entire disk or incremental file/folder backup. I want reporting by e-mail.
Which back up software do you use?

Jos,
There are lot of backup applications.
At work we use Secondcopy
some others that also work fine including FTP to external location
http://www.superflexible.com/
Acronis

Blade Backup (Homeseer plugin) will also do the work.

I use deltacopy (a rsync thing for windows) to backup the server to a netgear/infrant nas, the nas also run's a shadowcopy and perodic copy to attached USB drive.
Also the server is backuped online for just in case and running acronis images of the system drive to the NAS

herbus: don't use incremental. Don't forget that if 1 incremental is corrupted the only backup you can use is the full backup. It's like having RAID-0. Use differential if you don't need to have so many backups.

I have a soft spot for Drive Snapshot
http://www.drivesnapshot.de/en/

It's more a disk image backup program, but reasons why I really like it are ...

1. No need to install and restart, can run from a small <150kb exe
2. Amazing OS support from NT onwards
3. Network support good
4. Possible to convert disk images to vmware
5. Handy explorer to get to specific backup files/directories

Years ago I got completely annoyed with the likes on symantec etc

Sorry but its not free

Windows Home server, automatic backups every night of every pc and laptop I have at home. Saved my day twice now. Had a hdd going south and restored the entire HSserver (running Vista) in 20 minutes without interaction what so ever. It just asks you which backup to restore and 20 min. later you are back in business.

Last beta upgrade for HS wasn't succesfull, instead of trying to figure out the problem, I just restore..
