Rfxcom, XPL-Perl, Domialite and Linux

Hi everyone [:D]
I hope this is a relevent place to post this as i've been scouring the internet for instructions for hours!
I've got an rfxcom usb transmitter and a small low-powered linux box that it connects to.
I've installed xpl-perl and have successfully started xpl-hub and xpl-rfxcom-tx.
Using xpl-sender i'm able to successfully send homeeasy commands.
However, i'm unable to get domialite ones to work (they did on windows).
I'm using the x10.basic schema with protocol=domialite as a param.
The output for xpl-rfxcom-tx says its sending a message (eg D4 on) but the devices do not respond. So either nothing is being sent or its not quite correct.
When i start up xpl-rfxcom-tx it says its disabling x10, is that normal?
Any help is appreciated as i think i've reached my limit!
Thanks.
