Power measurement with RFXCOM & and power meter with IR LED

Hi,

I have the power measurement part of my overall domotica setup working.
It was a bit of a pain because I had an IR Led on my (Eneco) power meter.

But I have it working eventually ... the trick with the Reflective-Optical sensor is that I had to cut the white wire in the 3,5 jack. (Not blue or the copper ... but the white wire)

More on this project can be found on my personal blog --> http://blog.i-1.nl/?page_id=340

Good to see that's working. I have the same power meter and also found out that it has an IR led, but wasn't for sure it would work together with the RFXMeter.
So now I know that it will work. So I think I know what will be the next thing on my wishlist ;)

I don't think that will ever happen ... especially not with 3 x DL360 G3 servers running upstairs...

Vmware ESX will run on lot of other machines...:)

What Vmware can do for you.. This is one of my green data-centre ideas

Set two machines in maintenance mode.
Vcenter will move the machines using vmotion to the running server
Shutdown the two machines in non rush hours..
Send WOL to the machines that are shutdown just before the rush hour or when there is need for more power.
