Here is a brief description of a radiographic thermostat ELV/Conrad controlled by the pc
The following products are used for this.
FHT80B-II
FHT8V
FHZ1000PC
The FHT80B-II is the central room controller which regulates the temperature and where your day-week programs.
The unit sends the radiator FHT8V crane.
There are several types central room controlers. See the link with the limitations and possibilities of the various

FHT8V The crane is the drive for a thermostat. You must therefore have been a preparation for a thermostat. I myself had not and have not bought a thermostat knob brand Comap SAR. This is a thread of M28x1.5 mm, you need to buy an additional adapter.
By default, the FHT8V a threaded M30x1.5mm and 3 types of adapters for Danfoss thermostat controls.
For sending and recieving the radiator valve from the PC is required FHZ1000PC. There are several in ELV and Conrad products which you can control with this unit.
The control of the valve actuator is always through the FHT80B-II.
The reason for this hardware because there was good software for Linux to use.
The next software I've used:
FHEM
http://www.koeniglich.de/fhem/fhem.html
and webfrontend
http://www.martin-haas.de/fhz/screenshots.html
The fhem can generate various log files and let these values so you can use on your site.
I also made for my own site a plugin to set the temperature
Also see that the actuator for the 2 min s ong and you only 1x per 15 min measured temp gets back
