The SD90 can simulate 2 sensors.
The 1st one is identical to the panic signal which can be transmitted by a KR21 keyfob. This sensor should always be activated in the SD90 to be sure that the SC9000 generates an alarm even if the panel is not armed.
The second sensor is identical to a DS10/DS90 door sensor. This sensor can be activated and enables you to see which smoke detector generates the alarm and it enables the battery empty detection.
To set the SD90 correct do this steps:
1. Put some noise protection in your ears,
2. hold the test button on top of the smoke detector,
3. push and release the small reset button on the RF module,
(the LED on the RF module will light)
4. release the test button on top of the smoke detector,
(the LED on the RF module will go off)
5. push the test button on top of the smoke detector once,
(the LED on the RF module will blink once)
6. wait about 3 seconds until the the LED on the RF module blinks for 1 second,
7. push the test button on top of the smoke detector once,
(the LED on the RF module will blink once)
8. push the test button on top of the smoke detector once again,
(the LED on the RF module will blink once)
9. wait about 3 seconds.
(the LED on the RF module will blink once, a short pause, then blink twice)
The Smoke detector is now programmed with a Panic sensor with address 1 and a door sensor with address 2.
Notes:
A panic sensor with address 16 deactivates the panic sensor.
A door sensor with address 1 deactivates the door sensor. (default)
Set all your SD90's using the same panic address.
Set all SD90's with a different door sensor address. Repeat step 8 once for the 2nd SD90, three times for the 3rd SD90 etc.
Activate both SD90 sensors in the SC9000:
a. set the SC9000 to install new sensors.
b. press the pushbutton on top of the smoke detector for about 5 seconds. The SC9000 should now have detected the panic and the Door sensors.
Test the SD90.
- Set the SC9000 to normal (unarmed) and press the pushbutton on top of the smoke detector. The SC9000 should give an alarm.
reset the alarm.
- Arm the SC9000 and press the pushbutton on top of the smoke detector. The SC9000 should give now also an alarm and an indication which sensor has set the alarm condition.
