Can't log on rfxcom

Hi,

I'm using 2 rfxcom in the same network. I have configured both using CPR Manager. They have been working well for some days, but this morning one of them refuses to connect. But in the same time a ping was working (the other rfxcom was working well too).

I tried to unplugged and puggled it, but still no response.

I reconfigure it once again using the CPRmanager, using the same parameters than before, and then it works.

But for how long?

Do you have any advice or idea? Does the presence of 2 rfxcom in the same network lead to some network conflict?

Thanks.

Are you running the latest RFXCOM plugin in HomeSeer?
This eliminates the need for the CPR manager and uses a direct IP link to the RFXCOM LAN.

Migrating from CPR to IP worked flawlessly

Cheers

Actually, for now I'm not using any software at all. I've done some tests with xplRFX but my problem occurs by just using RFreceiver.

And it has happened again just now.

In fact, I have two kind of issues that are surely linked to each other.

1) I cannot connect to it and I got the following message:" SocketException:10061 No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 192.168.1.245:10001"
I got to reboot the rfxcom to fix it. I have tried to use the parameters given in the "RFXCOM Ethernet interface" manual, but apparently it does not work (or I miss something).

2) this morning I even don't get any message, I cannot log in at all. Even a reboot, didn't change the situation. And I was able to ping the device. I put once again the same parameters (so the rfxcom was recognized by the soft), and then it works.

Until now, because I cannot connect again (but ping is ok), and this time a reboot fix it...

Do you have any idea?

Thanks

Ok, i've find the origin of my issue: The xpl tools! :D

As it is configure or as I have configure it, it is launch at each start of my computer, and then try to log on the RFXCOM device.

I don't know (yet?) how and why exactly, but from time to time it maintains the connection alive even if I don't use rfreciever, xplmanager or any kind of program, so the rfxcom considers he is linked, and refuse any other connexion.

I have find it after looking at the connexions on my computer and by removing the xpl tools.

Next step is to reinstall xpl, but avoid that problem :D
