in Dutch as it's only for sale in Dutch Lidl shop's.
Vanaf maandag 1 februari verkoopt de Lidl een "Targa Micro PC" voor 199 euro (was 249)
Misschien een leuk ding voor een HS server.
Een computer waarmee u alle basistaken kunt uitvoeren, maar dan in zeer compacte behuizing. Deze PC is ook nog eens milieuvriendelijk en verbruikt zeer weinig stroom. Met de bijgeleverde houder kunt u de micro PC zelfs achter uw lcd-tv of tft-monitor hangen. De micro PC is zo (bijna) niet zichtbaar en u bespaart optimaal ruimte!
3 jaar garantie incl. pick-up- & return-service en hotline
Dit artikel is uitgesloten van de Lidl teruggaveregeling. Teruggave binnen 1 maand met kassabon is derhalve niet van toepassing. De aanspraak op wettelijke garantie is niet beperkt.

It would be interesting to know if you can expand the memory to >1Gb... Hmmm.. Things like this keep making me thing if I should split up my server with storage and Homeseer to a NAS and a small, low-power PC like this

It looks like it does not have a network connection. All kinds of usb network connectors doesn't look optimal to me, but I can be wrong I do not run homeseer.

I dont know a lot about the power consumption of PC's
But what is the difference in Watt's between a normal PC's (as far as you can have a normal PC) and a small one like this?

Atom 230 is a older CPU
Performance is lower and usage high
Atom 230 -> 270 -> 280 -> Z510

Funny, i was there last week for some bread to feed the birds.... wich coasted me 200 euro as i bought one of their last atoms 330 that was on sale....
2gig
320 hd
wifi
dvd burner....
199,00 including win7 home premium upgrade for 19,95
a few weeks earlier i saw the acer revo 3600 on sale at mediamarkt wich i also bought....
neat little machine wich is on the ion platform, got hdmi/vga and is hd accelerated.
Neat gadget that came a long is a kind of wii controller wich works pretty nice on tv.
199,- euro and again upgraded to win7 for 19,95...
i always used to build my own system, but with these prices i just cant compete...
that is for sure if you count the win7 license.
before i get carried away and tell you guy all my expences of the last month
Bottom line, i wonder if its great bargain....

Soon we don't have to go to the Lidl,we will have sale @ Robin's place
On topic: Don't think it is a good deal. I got my MSI sets, metal boxes and smaller with good mounting for the same price new from the dealer. These sets look very shabby. Most of the older atoms have one memory slot which accept a 2gig module.

This Micro PC does have a LAN, and also WiFI (an USB stick).
I've just bought 2, and for what I'm using it they work great (for now)
The Micro PC is smaller than the EEE Box

De Micro PC gebruikt (momenteel) 12.45 Watt
Dit is met Wifi uit.
