i can't find any dutch material on the web over this device

i have a lot of somfy blinds on the outside with 3 somfy remote controls Somfy Telis 4 Silver RTS but i want to use the above apparatus to conntrol the blinds via homeseer or some other software.


has anyone experience with this device

any luck yet finding an interface for your Somfy blinds?
I use the Telis Impresario to control my blinds, roller shutters and screens, but it's impossible to program and very limited in use.

I requested a few months ago at Somfy Holland about a similar (open) interface or similar based on X10 - so far no answer ... looks like it is a third party product - and likely no intention to sell it ever in Europe / Holland.
Again the benefits of a close system and selling your own controllers. In case you want to buy it from the States be aware of different RF frequencies same problem with the X10 RF devices.

But I can not find an EU version.

I asked Somfy NL a couple of months ago if there's an alternative for the Impresario remote. They are testing a RS485 transmitter they told me in june 2010, I send them an email today to find out if it's available yet. Any ideas how to obtain this? I'll post in this forum as soon as Somfy NL answers.

I'm getting the impression that Somfy is having several incompatible systems to control their equipment .... looks like this Zwave controller is not supported by the IO Homemotion products.

To control this kind of equipment is to get accees to the 230VAC or 24VDC wires of the motors and supplying the specific Zwave / X10 controllers.

As far as I know the wiring of a RTS motor is all inside the motorhousing, except for the powermains...

any luck yet? I'm still looking for a way to control the RTS motors with an external device. According to Somfy Europe the "device" is still in beta testing.

just received a reply to my inquiry about a Somfy RTS interface:

"We zijn inmiddels weer een stapje verder en de lanceerprocedure is in gang gezet.
De verwachting is dat deze procedure gedurende het eerste kwartaal 2011 afgerond wordt.
U krijgt bericht zodra de RS485 RTS beschikbaar is.

De Universal RTS Interface II - artikel 1810872 - kennen wij bij Somfy Nederland niet.
Wij kunnen u daarom niet zeggen of deze interface toepasbaar is."

In other words: they started the procedure to launch the RS485 RTS interface, should be completed in Q1.
Somfy Netherlands is not familiar with the Universal RTS Interface II (weird).

As soon as I'll be notified I will post here.

is there objection against the already available somfy interface from the usa ?

someone even wrote a homeseer script for that interface.

I was told it should be available end of Q1 of 2011, I'll check with my contact at Somfy, will get back to it monday or tuesday.

see also consersation about product above, is an alternative i think, it has software for the computer. i dont know if it is software to set the time and other conditions to let te shades chance postion or to give a live command. the price is the same

My contact at Somfy NL informed me that they're finishing the procedure to launch the product at this moment. She hopes to inform me next week about the launch.
