Hello people,

First of all i did'nt study electronics and i'm a noob in this. I AM though good in 'being a monkey' so if i see something i can copy it.....

"We" are starting to build a new house. I want to automate as much as possible, and i'm reading as much as possible about this isseu. My plan is to equipt my whole house with led lights and controlling them (see attachment..it's a bit in dutch, sorry). I also want to make a security system with camera's, temperture, elektric, water meassureing, monitoring door bell, incomming calls and controlling my heating system etc.

My plan how to automate my house lighting is this.
i have a steady power supply that transforms AC110-220V to DC12V with 4.2A and 50W. With that i have a PWM led dimmer (see pdf attachment) with IR remote.
HOW can i controle my pwm led dimmer with arduino.

[the noob thinking out loud]
My idea was to extend the IR sensor through the wall (10cm that comms out in my meter closet) and then controle the PWM led dimmer trough the IR with Arduino (eventghost). I only need a perspective of some specialists, because i dont have enough experiance in these kind of project...

thanks for reading my story...

Iwan

because i do not want to spend $220 dollar for the HS standard and $200 for HStouch....
because that is a total of $420 for touchscreen software....

a bit expensive for my tast. If i would use homeseer itself then it would be a bit different (still a lot of money)

but still, that is $600 for only the use of a touchscreen part of the software, because i am using eventghost.....

so that is a TO expensive sollution.
