First update your Source to version to Plugwise Source 2.14. See topic domoticaforum.eu/viewtopic.php?f=39& ... amp;t=4683
After that, use the update button again and the firmware update wizard will start.
Be aware that all plugs will switch off and on during firmware update procedure, so (with the firmware update wizard) NEVER HAVE YOUR COMPUTER in a Plugwise plug during the firmware update process.
Please, read the instruction in the firmware update manual first:
http://www.myplugwise.com/manual/firmware_update_en.pdf
or if you do not ha a PDF viewer
http://www.myplugwise.com/manual/firmware_update_en.rtf

Plugwise Firmware 2.27, Release 20090908

Plugwise Firmware 2

Changes:
- Updated ZigBee Pro stack
- Power up time less than 1 second
- Improved accuracy for current usage
- Improved clock sync between modules
- After a switch command or a power up, a switching schedule will be continued at the next state change in the schedule.
- Plugwise Switch support
- Switch command broadcast for groups
- Bidirectional power metering (Pro only)
- Configurable logging Interval (Pro only)

Notes:
- The memory of the modules is erased. Existing usage data not yet aquired by Source will get lost.
- Some firmware functionality might not (yet) be suported by your version of Source.
- Stick and Circle+ must have the same firmware base version (both version 1 or both version 2)
- You can add version 1 modules to a version 2 network, but not vice versa.
- In a version 2 network, version 1 modules must be updated to versions 2 to be used in Source.

Did the upgrade, took about 45 mins for 10 modules (8 cicrcles, 1 circle+ and 1 stick). One unit got missed but that fixed itself when doing another upgrade as the source indicated again there was an upgrade for one or more modules.

All seems well, very responsive and working fine with the Homeseer plugin.

Thanks Plugwise team !

Now we´ll wait for the Switch and see what other products Plugwise has up their sleeve....

Hi Reinder,

I just updated the source and discovered at the top right corner:

2.14(20100302.0)

Circle firmware is 2009-09-08

Even after trying the 'update' button, result: 'no new updates available'
To be aware of, I'm a registered beta-tester.

Is something ongoing with firmware 2.27? Is it not public available anymore?

gr,

Jeroen

I don´t see the problem, your versions are exactly what Reinder advertised in his post.

Source version 2.14 and firmware version 2.27 dated 2009-09-08. That is what you have....?

Aha, that's make sense.
I thought the latest source version is 2.27 not 2.14 but this is the circle's firmware.....

Hi everybody.

Big problem: After updating ( without any problem), the system can't access to the circle + ( and the other circle)
Just access to the stick.
edit:
be very careful with this release.

I think there is a problem in the communication between stick and circle+. The source recgnize the stick but it is not 'online'

Hon can i reupdate the firmware for the stick??

thanks

Help please

Just updated to the latest source and firmware.
The plugs do respond to switching correctly and all are online and updated.
The updates went fine, but now the usage data is no longer beeing logged in the statistics view.
I can see the current usage, but since the update the cummulative usage per hour is empty.
See the red zone in the screen shot.
First I thought it would just take some time to collect the data in the plugs and transmit it to the PC, but the Source has been running for 18 hours now (after the update) and still nothing.

I updated the firmware on a home set I had laying around. The firmware uploaded allright to all Circles (Circle+ and normal Circle), however after activating the normal Circle isn't seen anymore. THe stick and Circle+ function correctly. I first tried to reset the Circle, but this did not change anything. Then I resetted the Circle+ which resulted in also resetting the stick. Again the same Circle does not come online. I also cannot add the failing Circle to my other Plugwise network which is still running the old version of the firmware. I suppose the Circle is bricked. I send 2 days ago a mail to Plugwise using their contact form on the support website but did not receive any response yet.

Have also no logging of data after soft/firmware update, firstly.
Had a look to Plugwise web site, FAQ section, and find a way :
press shift + refresh button. A msg box will appear, press "OK". If data are still missing, restart Source.
It works for me, after having done it for each of my circle.

Hi Rene,

Plugwise support is very slow and inadequate in most of the circumstances .

About your problem. I had the same experience with 2 of my plug's after the update. I did a lot of things to try and get them online again( I did it a couple of weeks ago), so I'm not sure how I really solved it. As I remember well, I restored an old plugwise backup and the came online again, so I knew they weren't broken and then I restored the last backup and everything is working now. I did the reset stuff, but that doesn't help at all...

Good luck, hope this helps.

Indeed that fixed it. Thanks.
First I got a message that there was no missing data, but then after the restart of the source, the missing data was back.
I hope the data will be logged automatically from now.

Subject changed, because of the confusion about Source update and firmware update.
This subject is about the firmware update, now compatible with Source 2.15, See topic:
