LED in Glass

Hi,
I'm searching for a home project for something new LED in Glass and electrochrome glas (kind of black / transparent glass what is use by set some power on de glass)

Only this type of glass is very expensive in this company.
Therefore I am looking for cheaper alternatives have someone an idea?

Just an idea: take a ledstrip, RGB, and a thick glass sheet (6mm or so) and position the strip on the side of the glass. When the sheet is bigger use one on both ends, do some experimenting with it.

Only the LED stip you see when you are watch to the glass.
And this kind of glass you see not realy the wire's and LED's between the glas.

I got my rgb leds underneath glass( frosted) but there is a lot of leaking away wich makes it hard to achief the same effect.
I guess their secret is some kind of oneway/see thru mirror coating on both sides that captures the light inside of the glass....

You could just try with some smaller pieces of glass and see if a glass supplier in the area has some layered glass. That you could use with the strip on the side, the lLED does not have to be between the glass, just make sure to have it enter the glass properly on the side.

The reason why you have a lot of leakidge is because glass panels are normally straight and when frosted at the longest end the light will not be adsorbed all the way because its not hitting the complete surface
How they fix it in glass panel lighting is to slope the glass from e.g. 12mm at one end till 10mm at the other end where you inject the light at the widest end. This way the complete light will get absorbed/reflected when it travels towards the opposite side.
