KPN cleaned up their ADSL-portofolio.
But now I had 7 days no ADSL-connection and 5 days an intermitting ADSL-line.
My VPN and bussiness-mail still do not work. Terrible !!

20 calls to KPN did not help. Waiting for many many hours on the KPN-callcenter.
And some unfriendly engineers in the call-center.
Tons of new trouble tickets !! Terrible !!

KPN wanted to upgrade my ADSL-connection but the line is nearly 5 kilometer.
Everyone knows 16 Mbit over a 5 kilometer cable is not possible.

And KPN changed my IP without pre-warning.

I am very very disappointed in KPN.

thats why i have ziggo, ok the ip changes if you turn it off to long but still...

AND i have xs4all too, i also live very far away from the adsl point so i can only get 8mbit, but thats my backup line. 1 is adsl, 1 is cable.. i've never had a day that i didn't have internet. Both lines are on the draytek with round robin/failover automaticly. Same setup as pieter.

I work from home sometimes, i cannot be in a situation where i dont have internet. Also, i have my own domain and webhosting on my own dedicated server. If something is wrong i can fix it myself (downtime is less then when its done by some webhosting company)

If you have the skills, just get a dedicated server for 49 euro's a month (your own core i7) with 5tb traffic each. Install all your company's website/mail on it and be done with kpn. But hey, maybe pieter can help you out, he does work for them.

Thats why I have fiber (Unet).. Saying this nothing is 100% guaranteed..
If my internet does not work I can till use some (open) WiFi AP's here if needed.

Maybe colocating your server(s) is an option?
You can get colocation of a 1U server for 25 euro (see: https://www.transip.nl/g/colocatie/)

I have all my servers at transip, and till now I'm happy with them.
