Will this sensor workd with the rfxcom?? It's not expensive so.

Take Visonic, those sensors have a double function
Door windows sensors, smoke detectors and pirs etc can be received by Rfxcom and also work for your alarm system!
They are a bit more expensive but have a very high quality!

i found on the internet two types of rfxcom 4xx mhz and 8xx mhz.
do you need 2 if you want sd90 smoke detector and the Visonic door thing.

you need 2 receivers (one for normal things, like the sd90. The other for visonic) the mhz apply's also where you live. Dont know where that is.

For X10 the European freq is 433.92MHz while for the US this is 310MHz.
For Visonic both frequencies 433.92 and 868.95 are used in Europe. In NL mainly 868.95MHz is used.
In the US Visonic uses 315MHz.
If you want to receive both, X10 and Visonic in NL select an USB or Ethernet interface with a 433.92MHz X10 receiver:

In this case ADD means add to your shopping list.
The receivers and the interfaces have a connector and it is Plug&Play.

You can also use a modified MS13 for that. The MS13 uses 2 X10 addresses, one for motion detection (PIR) and another one for dust/dark detection.
You can then replace the varistance by something else (a reed relay, a pulse counter, etc) and everytime the resistance of the new circuit falls below some value the MS13 will transmit an ON on the second address (A1+1). On the opposite way each time the resistance gets above another value you'll have an OFF.
This way, you'll have nearly a free new sensor!
