I like reading about your progress but It's not clear to me what you are hoping to find. Do you expect to reveal additional functions?
Keep up the good work.
I am attempting to get (root)access to the box so that it can be extended, with feature x, y or z :-) (idea's welcome)

Hi!
I can't find a lot of information about this Home Base and was wondering whether someone could help me. I would like to connect an external usb sound card to the HB, via which I could stream music wirelessly to some speakers. Is this too ambitious or there is a possibility to get it work?
I have an external audio card, but the HB Control Centre doesn't recognise it. The led lights up on the external card but nothing happens on the Control Centre.
Are there any new Firmware updates, or any workaround to access that sound card?

Thanks for the help!

I just got one to test out ( brother in law has used it in the past for printer sharing but has a new router now)

I can access the webinterface but when i connect an RFXcom TX433 to it i can`t get it to connet (Windows7) using the software. But this problem is solved after disabling the firewall

When i use the HomeBase as a wifi device the interface is unstable (RFXcom is having issues). So now i`m using the device as an Ethernet device and all seem to be well.

I will test the device for a couple of days to see if it is ok

All other sticks are put directly into the homeseer server. But for RFXcom i need to place the device down stairs to receive al the signals. Now i`m receiving additional temp sensors which are not mine :D

Having root access to the Belkin Home base, what could I do extra, given it's limited CPU power?

Cheers
