Hand made VERA

Hi All
Are here anybody, who made vera using Asus wl500g Premium V2 router?

The sources could be loaded from: http://wiki.micasaverde.com/index.php/Source_Code
One of my friend already updated router's firmare by mivaseverde one and use this router as Z-wave controller.
But unfortunatelly this firmware has some limitations. I would like to modify sources and build my own firmware.
Can anybody help with this adea? Which environment i have to use, IDE and compiler?
