Hi All,
I'm planning to buy an USB adapter for Z-Wave to connect my software. However if i look at some websites i see there's quite some price difference between the different vendors. Is there any difference in performance?
I was looking at the AEON-Labs and Z-Wave.ME PC-Adapters.
Thanks.

I dont know the Zwave.Me, but I own a Aeon Labs and a ZCU-201 (pyramid).
I have to say, the Aeon Labs is the best I've seen.
When you disconnect it from your PC, You can use it as a primary controller to set up your network very easely,
As soon as your done, you put the stick back in the PC and start controlling.
With most other adapters you'll also need an extra Primary Controller to do the setup part.

Thanks for the answer. I guess that is worth the extra 20 EUR. I did not see anything on the primary controller with the Z-Wave.Me product itself, could this be done by software?
Is there any reason you have both adapters?

Hi.
The Aeon Labs is the best one because of the include/exclude function on the stick.
A lot of software has no build-in include function and hence work only with Aeon. (Unless you want to include with one program like the free Danfoss and run your house with another.)
If the software you choose has include function, you can use any USB stick.
I would expect any stick to be able to be primary. I have not seen one who couldn't.
You can upgrade the firmware on Aeon Z-stick, I have not tried the z-wave.me stick.
Regards
Morten
