I'm running Squeeze Box Server version 7.7.0 and the latest version of HomeSeer 2 Professional on a Netgear Ultra Ready NAS. The only player connected to my configuration is a Squeezebox receiver.

I downloaded the Squeeze box plug-in and started installation according to the manual. According to the manual the Squeeze Box Server Extension downloader must be used to install the squeezebox server plug-in. However I was not abble to select the Squeeze box Server Extension downloader neither I could change the settings. As my Squeezebox Server is installed on a NAS I also tried it on a Windows XP and Windows 7 machine. In bothe cases I was not able to select the Squeeze box server extension downloader.

Is there another option to install the squeeze box server plug-in? Or do I have to change other things?

Did you find the 3rd party plugins checkbox . ?
It must be set to on in the sq server settings, and i do remember it sometimes doesnt show up as intended but works fine after a reboot/

did you add the path to the plugin on your hs server in sq server ?
a reboot of sq server does miracles some times.

i cant confirm it works on 7.7. but i am running 7.6 on the same nas.

I asume this has to be done using the Squeeze Box Server Extension downloader and this is not working (even after mutiple reboots).

Although the pad to the plugin on my HS server is not set in the SQ server it seems to work (I can control the receiver using HSTouch). But I assume without this reference not all functionality is working.

Well on the bottom at the squeeze server plugin page you will find :

- the 3rd party plugin check box is in dutch mentioned as :

fil in your hs ip like bellow at on the same page at:

Extra opslagruimten :

- http://<jouw hs ipadres:poortnr>/squeezebox/repo.xml

This is the location squeezeserver can look for the plugin and after a reboot it should be available in the plugin list...
just activate it and if everything is set proper in hs you should be up and running.

Squeezebox up and running at the moment. They just increased the price for the squeeze box receiver with Euro 30,- So I will wait till I install an additionals squeeze box receiver.
