Visonic MT302 battery problem

Hi guys,
Anyone familiar with this problem: my alarm system (Visonic Powermax Plus) complains that one of the doorsensors has low battery voltage. I replaced the battery with a brand new one but it keeps insisting that the battery voltage is low. I measured the old and the new battery and the old one still had a voltage of 3.0V, while the new one does 3.1 V (the batteries are both Sanyo SR2's which are supposed to be 3V). I tried re-inserting the battery a couple of times, but unfortunately to no avail. The system continues to work just fine, but the battery alarms are quite anoying (sometimes the system decides to start beeping about the battery in the middle of the night and the only way to shut it up is by disabling and re-enabling the alarm
). Anybody ever had this problem as well? Is my sensor broken?
Thanks
