I have not used that software, but I do use an alternative
http://blueirissoftware.com/

It gets good reviews over at the forum discussions on www.networkcamerareviews.com

At the moment I use Blue Iris, and for my purposes it is good.
What a coincidence, I installed this software last weekend, because I was curious for the motion tracking function.
Big advantage is the open source package of Ispy. The sensitivity is much better in Ispy than in BI. My garden cam pickup motion much faster, even when I moving in my house, instead of BI. The motion tracking with my Foscam look a like at the frontdoor is moving almost perfectly horizontally, but vertically completely not... De settings for that option is enabled and saved.
One must have in camere software is to start a script when there is motion. In both programs this is possible.
I'm testing further, my opinion is slightly positive at the moment and it could be a replacement for BI.
For the few days I've tested it, the cpu usage is also a little lower with 2 cam than in BI. In BI all layers and resolutions are set off or set to the lowest possibility.

Thanks for the replies this far.
I also noticed that iSpy has a plugin system.
There are two plugins at the moment.
Licenceplate recognition and face recognition.
The first one could be used to check if the right car is at home. Otherwise store a snapshot of who was there.
