Hello guys,

For my graduation assignment I want to control several electric devices . ( a few lamps and an electric curtain rail) I thought I'd use the marmitek CK17 set , but I need some advice.
Is it possible to control these things from your own applications.
For example, i want to make a web service with functions to turn on, turn off and dim the light. Is this possible?

You can use the cm11 to write your own code if needed to control the appliances. So you can create your own applications to control it yes. Curtain rails cant be done with your set, no motorized things in their that opens the curtains though. Curtains can be done with http://www.elekhomica.nl/product_info.p ... cts_id=661 for instance, but then you would need a rfxcom device also if you want to control it with the pc. More costly.

For the curtainrails I found this(In dutch) http://www.autogordijn.nl/index.html#_Prijslijst On the bottom of the page they say that it can be used in existing domotica solutions.

Hmm, it might be.. but check the forum on curtains/rolgordijnen/etc because there are some openers that where not all that great. If its only to show off as a project it doesn't matter. You should request more information then.

Well as it is only for a project to show and not for home use the quality of the rails doesn't really matter. What's important is that I can control them from my own applications.
Maybe you have heard about the amigo project (www.amigo-project.org http://challenge.amigo-project.org), that is what I am working on.

I have this system at home. (IR Version)
Integration with Domotica is possible..but you need IR sender in the room.
Because of the flexible length the system is not working optimal. There are some hick ups when closing.

I'm going to replace it soon by Harrison

The RF controller looks the same device as a KlikAan-KlikUit remote. If it is the same unit the autogordijn can be controlled by the RFXCOM transmitter too.
