All,
When you do have camera's do your record it? if so with what? prof. hardware, software? do you do it on motion only, if so do you take pictures and make a movie from it, is this on linux/windows? What are the tools you use?
I've only worked with motion for linux, which starts storing pictures for the duration of the motion. Once the motion is gone it will create an avi file from those files. Only problem i think i would have is having 4 motions running which basicly polls all 4 camera's on my axis 241q which might create a bigger load then it can handle.
Can you also add a hardware device in between the signal? and if so which one? are there any hardware recordings that record on motion or just keep a copy of last month or so?
Just thinking outloud for idea's.
