Has anyone tried to install an electric dooropener in combination with a fingerprintscanner ?
I would like to do that and am curious on other peoples experience.

I saw that episode of mythbusters aswell. That pretty much ruled out fingerprint readers for me... They opened the door with just a wet photocopy of a fingerprint, if I remember correctly. And that was one of the most secure fingerprint locks available according to the show... You might want to consider alternatives for access if it's your front-door.

I have read some articles also on faking fingerprint devices.
You can specify 99 fingerprints with such a device.
In the software you should be able to increase security by only granting access if prints from multiple fingers in a specified order are received.
on both system you can connect any controlling device you want.
RFID, BT, Keyfob's etc.

Standing in front of my door for 10 minutes to get access to my house is not my goal.
Having a bag of groceries in one hand and clumsing with a key in the other is not comfortable either.
I guess using a set of 2-3 fingerprints goes faster than looking for my key (which one of the 5 is it...[}:)]) , putting it in the lock (specially at night...[:(!]) and turning it to open.
I am looking for comfort without having to give away security.
