So, after successfully getting my Fibaro 211 Dimmer to work, I got to thinking if I couldn't use either a dimmer or a switch to work for power outlets.
I want to be able to turn devices plugged into these outlets on or off through Z-Wave. If it's a lamp, a dimmer would even be possible.
Below is how I would hook it up to outlets that do not have a switch (which they usually don't except in bathrooms (for some reason)).
FGS211: (switch)
S1:
S2:
O: connected to one socket contact
I: looped to L
L: Load
N: Neutral and connected to other socket contact
(Not sure if any of the switches need to be connected, perhaps S1 needs to be connected to Neutral, but I'm not sure)
FGD211: (dimmer)
S1: looped to SX
S2:
SX:
O: connected to one socket contact
N: Neutral and connected to other socket contact
L: Load
(Probably also needs option 14 set to 1, which is bi-stable switches)
Can anyone evaluate these and tell me if this is how I should connect them?
Thanks!

Dear Cappinator, did you succeed with the above config?
Or could someone confirm the above setup.
Thanks

I would not use the dimmer for this. When someone by mistakes attaches your laptop charger and the dimmer is at a dimlevel one of the two will die
Fibaro has made a youtube video of installation in a wall socket
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQ9HwMLTFo0
- Connect the blue wire to the wall socket
- Connect a blue wire from to wall socket back to the fibaro module (just to feed with minus)
- Connect the brown wire to the fibaro L
- Connect the another brown wire to the I
- Connect a black wire from O to the second pin of youre wall socket
This is the idea
I would use the FGS-221 if it is possible to split a dual socket outlet in two individual sockets (so u can switch both)
I don`t know if it is easy to split them up in two different untits, maybe you need to cut away a copper bridge
These are easy to split because it in fact are two individual sockets

@raymonvdm
Thanks for the clear explanation. I agree with the disadvantages related to dimming a wall outlet. I will skip that idea, and leave dimming for fixed lamps.

when I renovated my house 12 years ago this was exactly what I did: putting all sockets on the left on a dimmer. You do need to be aware of this setup (and plugin the vacuum cleamer in the right one) but I find it very conveniant. I can dim 6 lamps all at once now.
