Is it possible to use the 868.95MHz Visonic slave receiver in this unit, I now have
a USB receiver and a separate USB transmitter. I would be nice if I can use the
Visonic slave receiver in the new device.

No, the RFXtrx433 has no optional slot for a slave receiver.
