Fibaro Universal Sensor and Texacom Veritas R8 pre 2000

Hi all,
I just bought a Fibaro Universal Sensor to intercept the sensors of my Veritas R8 (pre 2000) alarm system. I've connected the Sensor to the power and ground (AUX) connector in the R8 and paired it to my AEON stick. I've paired the Sensor to a couple of switches. If I connect the IN1 or IN2 line of the Sensor to the ground in the alarm, the switches switch on. So far so good.
One of the zones on the alarm is a sensor on the door, a simple read relais. I tried about every way possible to connect one of the IN lines to the zone and or to one end of the reed relais, having the other end connected to one and then the other side of the zone connector. I've tried to connect the OUT lines of the Sensor to the zone connector in the alarm, combined with one end of the relais, etc. I have not found the right way of connecting the Sensor to the alarm, in such a way that the alarm keeps working as before and the Sensor responds to, for instance, door open/close. Does anyone have any experience with this or such a combo? The installation manual that came with the Sensor didn't help me.
Thanks in advance,
Evert
