I don't regret that I have a brand new Nefit installation.

Looks nice, but how open is it? Can it interface with your HA system, and is all the Nefit opentherm data available?
Nefit knowning it is a closed system..... Cant find anything about it....

If I understand some of their FAQ info, it could be that in December an interesting OpenTherm adapter is coming (in Dutch only):

Ja, Nefit Easy is geschikt voor cv-toestellen van andere merken als deze werken met OpenTherm (OT). Hiervoor is een speciale adapter nodig (Nefit Easy Connect, leverbaar in december 2013).

Maybe with this Nefit-OpenTherm converter, using reverse engineering, it will become easier to access/control Nefit CV's?

Has anyone tried this thermostat allready?

Hopefully my unit will be delivered this week.
According the speces it should be a straightforward switch from the moduline300 as they have the same baseplate on the wall.

Ik werk bij een installatie bedrijf en heb er 1 geplaatst bij een klant
Werkt perfect en ziet er mooi uit, ik vind het juist een mooi ontwerp, maar smaken verschillen hè
Werkte daar mooi samen met de app op de iphone. De instellingen van het klokprogramma moet je via de app doen
Op de easy zelf kun je alleen de temperatuur hoger of lager zetten .

From the screenshots I also do like the design and it will blend in great with an 'orange' coloured wall, glad this is not in the standard white colour. Maybe I'm just going through a blackish phase but never liked all this white stuff anyway.

Up and down temperature on the Easy is sufficient for me. I hate to program it standing next to it and the moduline300 functions are limited IMHO.

a question for the users...:
- is the app communicating with the thermostat directly, or via a server on the internet?
- is it neccecary to open specific ports on the router to enable the communcation between the app and the thermostat?
- had nefit access to the thermostat via internet?

- direct wifi connection
- no, if you use the phone/ipad internally
- yes, if you allow them. There is a feature built in that allows them to help you or the plumber with trouble shouting.

I have got the Nefit Easy delivered a number of weeks ago already, however I need to wait until Nefit releases the Easy connect adapter as I have the older Nefit Ecomline.

It looked like they were to release it this week (week 5), but they just now delayed its release to week 10 at the earliest

first it was announced begin november 2013

Nefit is quite flexible with timelines, and that is sometimes annoying. Delay of additional functions, like (aanwezigheidsdetectie) from november to december, to first quarter of 2014. And then all of a sudden this function was released in december 2013.

According to this schedule (http://www.nefit.nl/consument/service/e ... ikbaarheid) the Easy Connect will be released in the first quarter.

I have the Nefit Easy already running for a few months, and to be honest, I'm very happy customer, it works like a charm.
