This evening I walked into my 'office' that has the computer running HomeSeer in VMWare: there was a weird smell..

I had been drilling holes in the ceiling to get more CAT5 running through the house.. No, it couldn't have been the drilling.

After sniffing all electrical components I almost burned my fingers touching the CM11a!! It was HOT and smelled terrible.. You know, that 'electric' smell that tells you "something is going to break down, you find what it is [:)]

After opening I couldn't see traces of burned components.. I'll leave it for a while so it can cool down.. Will try again tomorrow..

Ethernet version of CTX35? Is that a regular CTX35 connected to the RFXCOM COM port?

CTX35:
-How is this supported in HomeSeer?
-Can I use the CTX without having any Xanura devices?

Cheers

yep you can build your own ethernet version using RFXCom remote com port...I remember your post about ethernet devices..:)
In Homeseer there 100% is support for CTX35 (ACT TI103)
You can use the CTX35 with any X10/S10/A10 device.
