I'm looking for a built in IP dome camera for use outdoor.

I'm making an outdoor roof of concrete above the main entrance. And want to built in the camera in the roof.
Does anyone have experience with this. Because I don't want to let it stick out very much.

Your requirements are somewhat different. Normally an IP dome camera is placed on the ceiling (outdoor / indoor) but not inside the ceiling.

I would get a Powered Over Ethernet (POE) IP camera. It saves having to place 2 wires to the camera (ethernet + power)

But there is no standard camera that can be used in a Halox Box
The have different size cover plates.

Ok, then I still think you should ask the experts at the IP cameraforum. There might be acreative solution over there.

When i google for inceiling dome camera i get some hits

I would make sure itbis one rated for outdoors (ip rating min 65, low temp, etc..).

Can't tell from the picture, but it looks like an indoor camera
