Hi,
Does someone has experience with a watersensor witch gives an alarm in case of water and compitable with the RFXCom? Not a water temperature meter, but an watersensor.
Thanks
Martin

To detect water / flooding I use a Zwave solution:
hashop.nl/Webwinkel-Product-12205215/Ev ... ensor.html
Zwave is not picked up by RFXcom, so I use it with the Aeon Lab Stick and Homeseer.
I also use various Visonic sensors which can be detected by RFXCom. Visonic has a water/flood sensor, but I do not use it. No particular reason why I do not use this one. This sensor is made for the PowerMax alarm module so potentially it could be picked up by RFXCom.
visonic.com/Products/Wireless-Property- ... or-mct-550
You might want to check with the maker of RFXCom to make 100% sure it will work.
good luck
Olof

Thanks Olof. I'am not experienced with Visonic devices. Is it using a open 433 Mhz protocol, so it van be used with Micasa Vera, Homewizard or Rfcom?

My Visonic stuff operates at 868 mhz. But I think Rfxcom can (or could) receive on both frequencies.
If you do a search on this forum, you will find lots of info on the combinations visonic and rfxcom

I've tried this one:

It looks rather strange but it works just fine with RFXCOM. It sends X10 security on 433MHz
It's quite loud but with care you can disconnect the alarm.

I`m using this Z-Wave sensor

I think you can even use a this
one by just removing the reed contact and using to wires for water detection
The reed contact is the glas tube on the

I know, old thread but does the Visonic MCT-550 work with rfxcom and homeseer v2.6 pro?

I think it should work if you have a 868.95 Mhz Visonic receiver like. I thought rfxcom had one but i cannot find it

in the first rfxcomm i had included a 868.95MHz Visonic slave receiver, item Number 40079 and i do see other visonic devices. Just wondering if the MCT-550 is supported in both rfxcom and homeseer v2.6
