I've started to include z-wave device into my home network. I can control the devices via HS and via the buttons on the dimmer and relay switches. However i do not get status back in HS when i control the switches by hand. Is there some thing obvious that i am missing?
What i've done is
- Added the device to the Aeon Labs stick
- Loaded the device into HS
- HS makes devices for them
- The root device have an assosiate button
- On the assosiate screen ive added HomeSeer as destination.
Fibaro and status updates
Re: Fibaro and status updates
Did you include your controller in the group(s) of the device? This is normally needed to get automatic status updates, else you need to poll the device. How it works in HS, i can't help with.
DomotiGa / Z-Wave / RFXCom / Visonic PowerMaster / Home Assistant / Zigbee2MQTT / DSMR Reader / Toon1 (rooted)
Re: Fibaro and status updates
Have you associated group3 with homeseer? That's the group you should use. Then it works (for me) in HS2 and HS3.

Re: Fibaro and status updates
Sorry i was to happy to fast.
It still won't work.
I don't get any status feedback from any Fibaro unit i got althought the units have the ability to report back
For example, I have a single Fibaro relay switch thats behind a normal wall mounted switch. When i include this it shows up as a double switch where only Inst1 is working The configuration screen looks like this I see that polling is set to zero. I can't imagine that i have to poll each device every second to get a realtime update of my switches
I've setup the association like this but i tried also group 1 and 2 for that matter but no status updates in HS2 And advice will be welcome.

Re: Fibaro and status updates
hi bram,
I hope I can help you. By checking my devices and screens compared to yours.
If I look at a switch I get four devices. In your screen I only see three. That's strange. The one I use for status is exactly the one I see missing. It's named binary (without inst 1 or inst 2).I think the inst1 and inst2 can be used for other actions but are not the devices who carry the actual status of the lamp.
Please try to re-scan the root device and see if you then do get the fourth device. It took me a couple of times rescanning to receive all the devices.
Next to that I write down my HS2 version: 2.5.0.80
Can you check if you can 'find' the fourth device?

Re: Fibaro and status updates
Hi Harry,
Thanks for your effort.
I did't get a 4th devce even after 15 re-scans
So i updated the firmware of the z-stick -> no succes
Renewed devices and reloaded them + re-scans -> no succes
Then i noticed your HS2 version
I was at 2.5.0.20 and the updater on the download page showed me that .81 was available. Looking at the release notes there has been lots of z-wave fixes so i took the dive and upgrade my stable system. Did a rescan and there 2 additional device popped up. You are right, the binary device reports the state.
Thanks for your help
I still have a different question about a Fibaro dimmer but will put that in a new thread

Re: Fibaro and status updates
What Z-wave devices are u using?
I`m using both fibaro and duwi, when using fibaro i need to associate all groups to the controller (node1). When using duwi i need to poll the devices to see the status change.
When using fibaro universal sensor the status updates are not complete in my case (both inputs are reported as the same) I`m using HS2PRO 2.5.80
