X10 phase coupling

Post by deejay »

Anyone tried to build a phase coupler of your own [?]

I bought one filter/coupler in a shop in Sweden and didn't realise that i needed three, thats pretty expensive! [:(]

I think it should work with the right capacitor between the phases so the signal can travel OK [?]

X10 phase coupling

Post by b_weijenberg »

In this topic there is a simple phase coupler http://www.domoticaforum.eu/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=56

But the device that transmits the X10 signal has to transmit the signal for a 3-phase system. The X10 signal is synchronized to the zero crossing of the power and therefore the transmitter needs to transmit the X10 signal 3 times with the correct shift for a 50 or 60Hz system. For more information about X10 see http://www.hometoys.com/htinews/feb99/a ... gery13.htm
