CTX35 unable to cummunicate

Post by simjoc »

I have another request to you for help. I've tried everything, but I really don't know what is the problem. I have been a number of months in the possession a CTX35. This has so far always worked well. Both Homeseer (TI103) and with the CTX35 test software. I used it only with my heating and one lamp. Today my server needed a restart. However, after the reboot x10 didn't work anymore.

In Homeseer I get the following message:
TI103: Unable to communicate with TI103. Check if port defined or cable connected.
The receive / send lights continue to blink every second.

When I tested everything a wile ago everything worked well, but now the devices doo nothing. In "query" I get the message: $> 2800008C # $ <2800! 4B # Following the forum this should be good.

It seems that the CTX not send the signals. The strange thing is that I don't changed anything. The CTX is still in the same outlet with the RS10 next to it. Has anyone ideas or suggestions what could be wrong?

In HomeSeer you get always a error on the CTX35.
Do you have edit the startup file?

There is probely no communication problem. When sending signals with the ctx tool the led's are blinking.

Other things i tried:
- Use a empty power group
- Changed houdecodes

When starting homeseer in stead of the ctx tool the send /receive led is blinking every second.

That's the strange thing.
I tried with the sm10 and multiple LM12 modules. But they give no response.

you situation is:

ctx35 works / serial port works / HOmeseer ? / electrical line ? . for line : use an x10 tester (not cheap) , change house for a test.
for Homeseer : try another interface if you have it.

cm11 works , the appliances too ? everywhere? if so, you don't have line problems. so it could be a problem between HS and ctx35. Do you use the plugin for ctx35 "2.0.0.5"? the startup commands are already in .txt configuration file. the continuos blinking is correct (an alternance between the 2 leds). my ctx35 has a problem , that is not REAL, an error like your but it works, because i have a USB-serial adapter. Is you serial port a REAL rs232 or usb adapter?
