Is anyone using some cheap prepaid SMS card?
I'd like to connect an GSM-modem to domotiga and won't like to spend too much
Location is the Netherlands.

depends on your volume.. i have a the cheapest possible sim only from vodafone, with sms blox ontop of it.. so its about 15/20 euro's i think? and you can send 1000 sms each month then. you can also go to those sms website providers.. but the reason i dont want to do that, if my internet is down.. it cant send me anything anymore.. (and not needing a 3rth party software)
comparison:
http://www.spryng.nl/prijzen.html 1000 sms cost you 110 euro,-
http://www.smstarget.nl/?page_id=91 same deal
http://www.1601sms.nl/sms-gateway.htm looks nice, but 9 cent (ex i think)
one of my old favorites, i used to have.. http://www.clickatell.com/ (still have a account somewhere on there) its a little but cheaper even perhaps.. (especially if you have tele2)
http://www.cardboardfish.com/products/p ... ml#LetterN looks cheap too.. never tried them..
anyways, check out also http://www.1601sms.nl/sms-gateway.htm you can get a mobile sim only subscription with them, and you can have inbound too.. although if you use your own phone on the pc it will work just fine too.. dont forget.. sending a MMS is stupid.. just send a sms with a url of the picture (since i presume you have a phone with internet and a screen)

i use simyo. reason for my choice was;
- less ghost invoice stories (on internet are a lot of horror stories)
- recieves & send sms to phone outside the netherlands
- no expire time but requires to be used at least ones every 3 months to keep alive
- works with old gsm net (900 MHz) because of M20 modem

keep alive means "sending something?" or "calling somebody?"

sms or call is ok. I make sure to send 1 status sms each 3 month period.

I use Lowcall (http://www.lowcall.nl/).
For SMS to my iPhone it's good and cheap. For a strange reason not all phones can display sms messages send with Lowcall.

Lowcall is stopping its service. All Lowcall customers are transferred to Simyo on the KPN network. That might also make an end to the problems that some can't receive the Lowcall-SMS.

I think I'll go for Rabo prepaid SMS(cause SMS will be al I'm using)
It's 5 cents per sms and I get 15 credit for 10 over the network of KPN.
