CM15Pro and Windows 7
CM15Pro and Windows 7
I have two problems with a newly purchased CM15Pro (on Windows 7 Ultimate)
1. I installed the latest ActiveHome software from Marmiteks website, but when I connect the CM15Pro Windows reports it's an unrecognised device. Nothing I do in the way of uninstall/reinstall or refreshing the drivers makes any difference
2. The CM15Pro will not respond to commands from my RF HR10 either (although my existing TM13 is working fine, so I know the HR10 is OK)
ANY suggestions on a next step would be welcome (I've asked Marmitek the same questions, but this forum may give me a quicker answer. I can't believe I am the only person trying this with Win 7
(btw, I've tried my wifes trusty Win XP machine as well - this fails in exactly the same way)
I'm left wondering if I have a duff CM15Pro
UPDATE -:-
I found some suggestions from Marmiteck (which I knew would be a waste of time) but they WORKED and now I can see my CM15Pro from Win 7 (Hooray)
BUT it still does not respond to my HR10 - what might I have done wrong. It's certainly looking like most of this is the dreaded user error
Many thanks
Phil G

Re: CM15Pro and Windows 7
Can you switch another x10 device with the hr10 via the cm15?
Re: CM15Pro and Windows 7
No not at all
I can switch x10 devices from the pc attached to he CM15 and timed switching works OK
That's all
Is there something I need to set to make the CM15 aware it needs to listen for radio traffic?

Re: CM15Pro and Windows 7
Strange, there is no setting to my knowledge
So either your remote or cm is defect, or a batt problem
But i guess you checked

Re: CM15Pro and Windows 7
I'll check the battery, but certainly the remote must be OK

go to Tools > Hardware Interface Configuration.
there you can select the house codes the CM15Pro has to transceive.
When updated, F2 will show you the Activity monitor.

And I have also found (I think) how to use a macro to turn a powerline command into an RF one...
Watch this space (and thanks for the suggestions)

Oops
I had a macro looking for C2 ON before issuing an RF C2 ON.....
The RF triggered the macro again (and again and again .........)
Shan't do THAT again
