Some broken modules

Post by Noel »

Today one of my SAX'ses sudenly started to make a loud buzzing noise, and a couple of seconds later it started to smell bad!

I still have some "old" broken unit's, and now I'm thinking of getting them replaced/fixed.

Anyone here who might know if Xanura (rip) will still replace "bad" units, and if so, where do I send it to?

In your situation I would contact Marmitek and ask for/demand the same service level as you used to have with Eaton Holec. For Marmitek a flexible service level would be smart to give the Xanuara products a good start.

I too have a couple of broken modules; My breakdown rate has dropped from 7 per year initially to a stable 4 per year now. I have a couple of spare modules, so I replace them with spares until I can send back the usual 4 modules once a year.
I was already wonderen where to send this year's batch. Marmitek aquired Xanuara, but I didn't buy Marmitek modules. I've bought Holec-Eaton branded modules, from Holec-Eaton. They're the party I did business with and they are resposible for the product and the service it requires. Did you email Eaton on this already?

Hm, ain't it so that you can assume that the lifespan is longer than 1 year and so claim a longer warranty?

Last year I had 5 broken modules and some of them where almost 5 years old.
Someone I bought from marktplaats so I had no receipt.
That was no problem, Eaton give me all new modules for free.

Yes, even I have to admit that Eaton's service was exceptionally good.

I think the legal warranty period for parts installed in your electric installation is A LOT longer than a year. I think it may even be as long as 10 years. But being right isn't the same as getting your rights. And since Marmitek isn't a party in your purchasing agreement you'd better try your chances with Eaton. I don't think they can get away by fending of their duties.
