Re: Plugwise Switch
Why puttig text om the buttons? I've never seen text on a "normal" button..
Re: Plugwise Switch
Because Plugwise always does things "different"
Re: Plugwise Switch
I'm more interested in de functionality when used in combination with a schedule.
situation 1: standbykiller schedule (5 watt), switch circle on with switch, will it stay on until switched off with the switch or will the schedule take over when the usage is under 5 watt.
situation 2: schedule circle on from 09:00 - 17:00u, what if you switch the circle on before 09:00u or after 17:00u will it stay on, what if you switch it off between 09:00 - 17:00u?

Re: Plugwise Switch
There are more companys that use text or images on there button's. Like Niko, Merten and some others.
I do like basic symbols on the button's.
This is not going to be my main switch for lights...just backup I case that domotica is not working..
Or just manually turn on some units
Price of the switches is 67,50 euro including VAT
Including dual button's
Scheduling part will work as it's now. Switch will give you te option for manually turning on/off
When the conditions of the switch are true it will than auto turn off

Re: Plugwise Switch
If you have a domoticasystem like most of us I don't see any real benefits for this Plugwise switch.
For "normal " use OK

Re: Plugwise Switch
Problem of domotica systems is availability and accessibility.
My HA server is available for 99,8%. The 0,02% downtime is always when you are away from home.
Accessibility is bigger problem.
Plugwise will turn off the power of the washing machine after standby time of 30 minutes.
This works fine..
The problem is how can can I turn on again when the machine is on the second floor and there is no interface like touchscreen.

Re: Plugwise Switch
Plugwise should add a button on the circles. Instead they create a new product and you like it For the places where the circle is hidden okay, but this is so weird. How much effort would it be compared to a button on circlesTANE wrote:The problem is how can can I turn on again when the machine is on the second floor and there is no interface like touchscreen.

Re: Plugwise Switch
I also think that this would look better.
Anyway. I've sold my Plugwise after the "stealing data" incident.

Re: Plugwise Switch
those buttons look nicer, although i would prefer a square rather then rounded, but everybody has its own favorite.

Re: Plugwise Switch
I still think the buttons are very ugly. Qees is coming with products that are a very interesting alternative for Plugwise. Measuring and switching sockets and "plug in" sockets working both with Z-wave and Zigbee. Besides that they will also have wall switches with a much much nicer design. Only thing might be the pricing.
Oh yes, and the products are not available yet so you would have to wait. But then again, waiting until ugly will be hip again also might take a while

Re: Plugwise Switch
Sorry, QEES
Plugwise is a nice product and works great (better than X10).
And...Plugwise is developing more new products.
I like the switches from Plugwise. Again a new product from Dutch design.
