If you have more than one sensor connected and use the skip ROM command then all devices will respond at the same time and result will be useless. Maybe your intention was not to use skip ROM and have all your 15-20 sensors connected at the same time?

A lot of Sensors
I thought I had a lot when I am planning to use about 60 1-wire devices... I don't think you will be able to have 500 devices on a single bus due to the electrical drain. But if you use a couple of DS2409 network couplers I think you'll get it to work fine. This will also increase response times whe...

Fire alarms
I am looking for fire alarms (detectors) with a relay output so I can connect them to my home automation system. Some requirements:

Wired (don't want wireless)

Powered over the wire

Relay output (don't care if they are normally connected or normally open)

Decent p...

Measuring water temperature
Hi all. At least Bwired is measuring the water temperature in, for example, the heating pipes. Does placing the 1-wire sensor against the pipe with isolation around the sensor and pipe give an accurate enough reading or do you have the water flowing around the sensor? How do you have it connected on...

light sensors
I am also interested in light sensors. I am thinking of creating something similar to the 1-wire solar radiation sensor on Hobby Boards, http://www.hobby-boards.com/catalog/links/sr3-r1/Solar%20Radiation.pdf , but using a photo diode that is optimized for visible light, something like the Sharp BS12...

(Sorry, this is getting a bit off topic). About the floor heating. Don't know the right english terms, but I have about 20 pipes in the floor, each with it's own valve. Some are controlled by the same thermostat, however (about 8 thermostats). I'll start by letting the convetional thermostats contro...

Do you have, and would you like to share the schematics for reading the electricity meter blinking LED with the 1-wire counter device (DS2423). I saw a schematic in this forum utilizating a reflective LED for spinning disk meters. What changes are needed for the blinking LED? I am very inexperienced...

I bought my 1-wire temperature devices from http://fi.digikey.com. If you are in the Netherlands then http://nl.digikey.com is naturally a better choice. The price per unit nearly halves at 50 pcs, so that's how many I got (at 1.8€/device). At fewer quantities they are about 4€/device. The delivery ...
