Motion sensor for 50 cm

Post by TANE »

I like to turn on my touch screen automatically when there is motion
what can be used for this?

Turn on is just a soft on from HS event.
MS13 is just to sensitive an ugly.

My old Philips TV had something build in from 50 cm the button lights will turn on.

Motion sensor for 50 cm

Hi Chak,

Depending on your setting and your willingness to live with its shortcomings (slowness and limited range, see http://www.domoticaforum.eu/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1441), you could use a Visonic CLIP MCW, which is an IR curtain motion sensor. If you mount it in such a way (on the ceiling or a wall on the side?) that it projects its curtain in front of your touchscreen in parallel with the screen, the screen could be turned on if you move into its IR beam.

Thanks for the tips.
Visonic signal pickup is just to slow for detection and triggering event.
Parking sensor is a good idea
I someone already using them?

Other option is dismantle the MS13 and use the sensor with a cable.
First I need to make the sensitivity low..what is the best option for this?

Enver,

I use a lot of Aritech sensors and they all come will small pieces of paper that can be put in front of the lens. They work like some kind of mask that helps you set the area the sensor operates in. Might this be an idea to just use a standard Alarm PIR (use the Aritech ones, they are great and cheap on marktplaats) and mask the active area?

No Rfxcom support, and as far as I know no Domotica interface what so ever for Aritech.
Or Francois can tell us?

Motion sensor for 50 cm

My post was about the wired aritech sensors (if responsiveness is a requirement, this is the way to go) so no RFXcom here :)

To bump the question to the next forum member:

Bart I know Aritech (Now GE) has a range of wireless sensors, are they supported by RFXcom??

Ik vermoed het overigens van niet:

Van de website http://213.181.36.29/NL/products_single ... duct=CS275 : "Frequentie draadloos 868Mhz"

Thanks,
I will see if i can use the MS13 sensor to do this
just extend the sensor with a cable and make it a bit less sensitive using some dark materials on the top of the sensor.
