After my big troubles with the Intel SSD drive, i decided to buy a Corsair CMFSSD-128GBG2D with a capacity of 128GB.
This is also a very fast SSD drive with high a throughput.
This drive has been running from November 2009 on the Bwired system and webserver without any problems.
But for a couple of weeks now the my system got sometimes very slow but no activity in the taskmanager
I discovered that when my system got slow the harddisk light was on? sometimes for like 1 minute, but the system was not doing anything.
After a while it was gone again and also for like a day after reboot.
The SSD is for 70% full with data so should be alright.
On the Internet there is a lot of discussing going on about the reliability of the SSD drives and I agree.
I think this product is not suitable at all for a 24/7 computer system.
I send a mail to Corsair about my problem, no questions asked, got directly a RMA for replacing the drive.
This could mean two things: good service or they know about the problems
So this is my second SSD drive (top line) which gives problems!
But if they work, they are fast! I'm now back on my WD 10.000 ESATA and it looks and feels like a huge difference!
