New version Plugwise Source V20090620.0 released!

Post by Reinder »

The new version of the Plugwise software Source has just been released.
Just simply click on the update button in the right bottom of the Source software and the update wizard will start.

If you find trouble updating your version, it's also possible to update the software by executing the setup at www.myplugwise.com

The new release version is V20090620.0
You find this number in the right top next to the schedules button (blue numbers at the blue top)

*message changed with new version release

yes there it should be, but it is only visible when you agreed the licence stuff and then you get the email with the activation link for the source
After that the webserver is there.

New version Plugwise Source V20090620.0 released!

Post by Omega »

In April this year we bought the basic set to measure the electricity production of our solar-panels.
Plugwise told me that the new source-release would have the possibility to measure production in addition to usage.
In this new release you can indeed select "Zonnepaneel" as "apparaat", however the production is still measured as usage.
Perhaps I have made a wrong adjustment somewhere or is it still not possible to measure production ?

So it's still needing an internet connection to activate the official way?

If so, than this sucks!

The versionnumber is approx. 1cm below the minimize, maximize and close buttons of the window. It is hard to read, but it is there.

yep you're right. it is just on yhe junction of white and blue and on a TFT VERY hard to see.
New version has more flexibility in sending the information to plugwise (did not analyze traffic) so it seems they have adjusted some things.

So if I understand you all right there is functionality missing like the internal webserver (crucial for all forum members) if you decide not to upload data to Plugwise?

No. The webserver wil stil work if you make the choice not to upload date. Beside that you are able to restrict the uploaded personal data to just postcode and e-mail adres (ik think the e-mailadres is a bug because the GUI suggest it is only needed for update notification)

I still wonder how they want to use the data. For home use it could be usefull We use it in an office and then there are lots appliances we can not enter correctly. So to me it looks not very usefull.
And in the latest versions you can still not change the type of appliance after a first installation (atleast I did not find how to do it yet)
