RFXCom not receiving KaKu AWST-8802 RF Switch
Hi,
Just bought a KlikAan-KlikUit AWST-8802 double wall RF switch and the RFXCOM isn't receiving anything no matter what I try.
First I thought the switch was faulty so I've replaced it with another one, but still no go.
Am I missing something? I don't have any KaKu receivers so I can't test if it really works. Do I need one to set the switch up (don't think so, but eh..)
Thanks,
Rick

Rick
what is the firmware version of the receiver?
There has been an update in V17 and V18 to accept the signals from an ELRO wall switch and I think this will also work for the KAKU.
See http://www.rfxcom.com/descr_433_X10_Oregon.htm for the firmware versions.
With RFreceiver enable all RF. KAKU is enabled then and the wall switch should have been received too.

Hi Bert,
I just received this week, so should be pretty fresh:
Version request to receiver => F020
4D18538A Version Master=18 Slave=8A bits=88
(433 X10 master + Visonic 868 slave)
There is some note in the manual that this switch can only be received by "A-series" KaKu components, as on most of the new products. Perhaps they've changed something? It's still on 433mhz however.
Thanks,
Rick

Rick,
Did you try to send the 'Enable all RF' with the RFXCOM receiver tool?

RFXCom not receiving KaKu AWST-8802 RF Switch
I installed a AWST-8802 and a ACM-1000 today (not in my own house but somewhere else, so can't test it anymore). These devices looked different from what i've seen before from KAKU.
What can be found in the manuals is that:
- The new "A-series" devices are incompatible with the non-"A-series".
- The transmitter has a factory pre-programmed unique address (67.000.000 possible).
- Receivers have some kind of "search-mode", entered after pressing a small button, in which they accept the first received code as the code to act on.
All these things are quite different from what i know about KAKU, so it wouldn't surprise me if they indeed switched protocol...
Robert.

Did you enable AC receiving mode in the RFXCOM plug-in?
Try using RFreceiver in Variable Length mode and All RF enabled.

I have 1 AWTS 8802 in my config..all is working fine.
With scripting I'm updating the status of my devices.
This is the script that I will run after receiving signal from AWST 8802
Sub Main(parms as object)
Dim i As Integer
i = hs.DeviceValue (parms)
Select Case i
Case 10
hs.ExecX10("G2","off",0)
Case 11
hs.ExecX10("G1","off",0)
Case 250
hs.ExecX10("G2","on",0)
Case 251
hs.ExecX10("G1","on",0)
End Select
End Sub

do this:
Enable AC (and for KAKU ARC) on the receiver config page,
Clear heard sensors,
activate the sensor, (push a button or create a motion for a motion sensor)
go to the RFXCOM Input sensor config page and select Add.
You must be able to add the sensor.

Clear Heard clears the list of sensors received that where not configured yet.
The reason I let you clear this list was that only the sensor you are working on was displayed. Otherwise you could have a long list of URO's (Unidentified Received Objects

i try'd it whith the next script
Sub Main
Dim DvCode
Dim Status
DvCode = "_4"
Status = hs.DeviceValue(Dvcode)
i = hs.DeviceValue (Status)
Select Case i
