Hmm, it seems that the thermostats in our home are all Comap thermostats with an M28 connection instead of the M30 nut that is on the Danfoss thermostat. Is there any way to connect the Danfoss RA-K (013G2735) M30 thermostat to an M28 base unit? It seems there must be adaptor rings out there to bridge the 2mm difference...

Danfoss Zwave radiator valve Review [Dutch/English]
@Lennart,
A few weeks ago Enver and I replaced all my base units because we faced the same problem over here. Some where in the future we will do the same by Enver at home.
I spent a day for replacing 8 base units.
When you're will buy this things , Remember I have a whole sale account bij "warmte service" witch you're are able to use

Thanks Marco for the offer
. Sigh, and I thought testing would just be easy. Not looking forward to another "home improvement" operation, just to find out whether or not the thermostats will match my requirements... I think I'll wait for a while then. Plenty of other things on my todo list.

@Chack I have the same 'stadsverwarming'... but no thermostat functionality, is it possible to just communicate on (open) or off (close)?
Danfoss Zwave radiator valve Review [Dutch/English]
It will take on/off. But it only wake up every 15 minutes to ask for new commands.
If you set it up to stay awake, the batteries last 1 day or 2.
(I have tried it, when Z-command implemented it from my device. Maybe it will last a little longer, if it is not changed so often.)

You can change the communication time.
minimum is 5 minutes.
There is no need for additional thermostat. There is one build in the Danfoss comparable to the standard ones.
I have them running since begin July..communication every 10 minutes..there is still no need for changing the batteries still 60% left
With the new danfoss software you can also schedule them for standalone usage.

Is it correct that there is no need for a PC 24/7 to control these Danfoss?
Danfoss Zwave radiator valve Review [Dutch/English]
You can send it a program for some days.
I can not remember it exactly but I think it is 7.

You don't need a pc running at all, you just need it with the program you can find on the website after you send the timers to the Danfoss your pc can be turned off.
4 Timers per device can be stored into the Danfoss, if you need more you need a master like HomeSeer, Vera or Qees Master to run 24/7
Let's make z-wave EZ

Just received 3 Danfoss RA-K (013G2735). Unfortunately, I also seem to have Comap thermostats with a smaller nut than the M30 (should have read this thread more carefully). I definitely do not look forward to replacing base units. What is the best option: is there another type of Danfoss that will fit, are there really no adapters or do I have to bite the bullet and drain the cv to replace base units?
Thanks in advance.

As always, Google is your friend. For those with the same issue: it seems there is an adapter:
HZ-Adapter from M28 x 1.5
with 9,5 mm closing dimension
to M30 x 1.5 with
11,5 mm closing dimension
TA1010HZ01

Hi Marco,
Given the delivery costs I bought 5, hope they fit. New base units is the cleanest solution though
Thanks for the link to Conrad, did not see that, they do seem a bit plastic. The Honeywell ones should be metal.
