ADSL is very slow. because of the distance to the pbx i will only get 500/3000 at the most so i'm planning to switch over to ziggo.
Last diner, after the conference in the evoluon, henk mentioned that you need a certain type of modem to get the best out of the ziggo connection but i forgot the model.
And for the receiver the humax 5050c is still the best solution?

Which Ziggo modem and receiver model
Well, depends on the location, until recently the Arris 702 seemd the best option. Ziggo did however change network settings and users who reported trouble in the past reported back that those problems seem to have been solved.
I got the humax now and would only advice it if you got a small resolution or CRT screen. If you have the possibility I'd either choose a CI+ cam provided your TV supports it and you don't need recording options or get the cisco-receiver which supposedly does HD.
Dont know if the cisoc does hdmi or something, might be that other users know..

Which Ziggo modem and receiver model
After a phone call i got this:
modem: motorola SPV5120E
ontvanger: CISCO 8455
compared to the info here on the site (Docsis 3.0 modem and a humax 5050) is this then a good deal or could i aspect problems with for instance my AVM7270 router.
And if i compare the cisco to the humax i find smaller HD, no working USB and network connection, slow, 2 receivers so i'm wondering if the cisco is a good offer related to the humax.
Could anyone share his vision on this?
