passing wires over gaps

Have anyone found any nice looking electrical bridges. I have a white UPVC door and need to run a cable from the centre of the door to the frame, obviously I have a gap to overcome. The connection can be broken as the door opens so I was thinking about some kind of spring contact on the door and on the frame.
I have no idea of the words or terminology to allow me to search for said products on google etc.
Can anyone suggest / help ?
