Hello,

Yesterday I tried to install my first Oregon Scientific transmitter in homeseer, but I couldn't get it to work.
I was wondering if my rfxcom transmitter might be an older version in which the oregon sensors are not yet supported. Does anyone know which devices are supported in which transceiver versions? I have a visonic and x10 receiver.

Regards,

Remko.

you tried to install a oregon scientific transmitter? A transmitter is different from a receiver. Normally when you have the x10 receiver and visionic, there both receivers (at least thats whatas commenly used) if you have a transmitter (to send out x10 rf signals) i'am not sure if you want to send out oregon signals then?

Bit confusing all :-)

All the Oregon units are transmitters.
To receive Oregon data you need the Rfxcom receiver.

Are you using Rfxcom plugin for Homeseer?

For the Rfxcom plugin you need newer version of the firmware.
for the Acrf-2 the older versions are also supported.

Hello,

Basicly, I just want to add the temperature from a THGR228N to my device list in homeseer. I think I have the RFX-com receiver setup correctly because I can recieve my visonic smoke alarms and door sensors. Or do I have to do something special to enable the x10 receiver?

The plugin I'm using is ACRF version. I want add an environmental device and select the option to use the last recieved unassigned code. After this I reset the sensor. Is this the correct procedure?

Regards,

Remko.

The Visonic receiver and the oregon receiver are not the same.

Visonic works on 868
Oregon works on 433

To receiver Oregon you need the 433 receiver.
This one can be build in the same house as the current receiver.

ACRF doesn't support Oregon sensors! The ACRF2 and RFXCOM plug-in support Oregon sensors.

Hello,

I have the USB 868.95 MHz Visonic and the Slave RF 433.92 X10 recievers. I use the ACRF2 plugin and it has been working perfectly for my Visonic stuff. I just wanted to test a Oregon THGR228N because I can't run a 1-wire sensor to a room, but couldn't get it to work.

I realised that the set was old, I bought it in July 2006. And I noticed about 15 minutes ago that the Oregon Scientific support was announced in July 2007. I guess I'll have to hope that the 433.92MHz isn't to old and that I can upgrade it.
