For just switching some devices on/off like USB HD's, phone adapters, cameras etc.

- Controlling via X10 or RFXCOM-RF
- Soft Click

What is the best choice and where can i buy them.

If you have an RFXCOM transmitter version 10, I would advise you the new type of KlikAan-KlikUit modules with automatic code. The change that one of your neighbors controls your device is nihil.
They are not expensive and have a soft click, at least the 300W modules. I didn't test the 1000 and 3500W types.
You can program multiple device codes in the units. Program the same address in all units and program a dedicated address in each unit. This allows you to switch all units on/off using only one address and you are able to control each individual unit.

Bert,
Thanks for the info. I have the latest version of the transmitter.

Can this module also do normal switching without dimming?

Stekkerdoos dimmer/schakelaar
type AC-300, max. 300 Watt

It is better to use the 1000W units to switch adapters on/off.
I had a look and one of the units I have in use is the AC-1000 and this unit has also a soft click.

Karwei is selling the new Kaku Modules.
They have almost all the modules.
I have now 3 x Ac-1000(appliance) 1X YCT102 (remote)
Price for the complete set 45 euro
At Horenbach they have also Kaku modules (previous model)
Price for the complete set 20 euro

Prosnew Kaku:
Price
Quality
Lot of flexible products
No problems with powerline noise
New modules with auto channel (more secure)
You can give one module 6 different addresses.

Con:
No status
Micro modules are not so micro.

For some products there is no need for status info
I'm going to buy some more devices from Kaku
Door / Window sensor (just for lighting control)
Motion sensor
Bel Sensor
Switch single / Double

Integration in Homeseer is working fine with Rfxcom
I have only to figure out how to add the new remote to Homeseer RFXcom plugin.

**Update**
Just enable in the X10 settings of the plugin the correct housecode for your remote

Chak,

To add a KAKU module (with Automatic Code) to the plug-in:
1. create an AC APPLIANCE or AC DIMMMER in the Output configuration page of the RFXCOM plug-in.
2. push the program button on the KAKU module
3. transmit an On command from the Homeseer status page

Note: to erase all programmed remotes from a KAKU module:
push and hold the program button until the LED flashes fast. (about 10 seconds) Then release the program button and push this button again shortly. All remotes are now removed from the KAKU module.

If you have a Rfxreciver 433 you can use the door window sensor for controlling X10 or any other device in you HS system.
At the moment I'm using Visonic device sensors for this
The price for Visonic is 3 X times higher.
If there is no need for security sensor than is the Kaku sensor better option.

Kaku door window sensor can directy trigger a device without events in Homeseer.
For the Visonic you need a extra events to do this.

more important to see if it's not open for longer than 1 min....
I'm going to use it for that option and give a alarm.

Chak,

There is an important difference between the Visonic sensor and the KAKU sensor!
The Visonic sensor will be seen as a security sensor and the KAKU will be seen as an input device. It is therefore not possible to use the KAKU sensor in the RFXCOM plug-in security panel!

The Visonic also has a heartbeat every 10+ minute, so if you miss a signal it will be corrected.

I can't say much about KAKU regarding reliability (i only have a KAKU doorbell), but i've decided to get rid of my ELRO stuff. I am currently using ELRO plugins to switch the lights in the livingroom. Most of the times it works, but sometimes not. To much not, for my taste. I am going to replace everything that is ELRO now with PLCBUS plugin modules.

So if anyone is interested in ELRO stuff...
