ABST-604 is the dusk dawn sensor what also can be used outside.

Has someone experience with this device?

Yep, playing around with it. You make the light/dark setting by pressing a button on it when its dark enough to go on. I am also using homeseer. Also there is a manual switch to keep onstate for multiple hours.

Thanks for the info.

I like to install it outside so that HS can be triggered when it's dark..
At the moment I'm using sunset condition..this is not working fine when the weather conditions are not so good.

I bought a AWST-6000 Motion sensor yesterday.
It sends its packet 30 times! Can't remember i've ever seen so many... how does this dusk dawn sensor relate to this, can someone check that?

I think it only sends something when status changes. But need to check it then in rfxcom receiver software. At least in homeseer I see only a status change.

I've got a ABST-604 now also. This one is also very generous with the number of packets it sends...
I was wondering, how reliable is it, in terms of switching at the right moment?

Ok, nobody seems to use this sensor so i bought 1 myself. It has been standing behind glass looking outside for > 1 week now and it looks good. I'll replace the trigger for outside lights to this ABST-604.

Hi,
so this ABST-604 works with RFXCOM and the Homeseer Plugin? How do I do to make it to show up in the RFXCOM input Device tab?

It may be a stupid question but I've not been able to find any hints about it. My other devices shows up whenever they send data.

Thanks!
